Bug Description

Could we have a nice obvious "Change Status" link or similar on the bug page, please?

So-dark-blue-it's-almost-black text on Orange, without an underline is _IMPOSSIBLE_ to make-out as a link; sadly some of us do not have better-than-perfect eyesight.

Also the actual thing you have to click isn't obvious, even if I knew that was a link I'd think it just took me to the "hct (upstream)" page (ie. the overview for the HCT project).

I think Scott's right on all points, for the record. The fact that the context title should be a link to the overview for that thing is something that really bothers me but is rarely discussed.

Matthew has a redesign for this portion of the bug page, but he says he's "forbidden to change this", and his design doesn't really do what is suggested here.

Me too. I doubt any uninitiated user of Malone could figure out how to do change status without trying lots of links and getting frustrated (and the one uninitiated user I have watched did exactly that). I still half-expect that link to take me to the product page, and I'm used to it :)

The fact that a bug can be associated with multiple upstreams or packages isn't immediately obvious, and isn't expected (other systems don't do that), so the fact that Malone tracks status in the bug tasks and not the bug is not clear unless we really emphasise it. Adding the proposed "Change Status" link would help here. This is especially true for the majority of bugs in Malone with only a single bug task.

A couple weeks ago, I added a "Edit Assignee/Status Details" link to the actions portlet on the bug page. I accidentally mentioned this in #launchpad, at which point sabdfl pointed out that (paraphrasing) "if I saw that link, I would have deleted it." :)

Maybe I should add the link back then?
