Bug Description
If you consider the normal/current case of contacting a group via a
mailing list; any replies to the contact are normally cc'ed to the
group (i.e. mailing list) allowing everyone in the group to see the
reply. In the case of contact via the web, there's no possiblity of
cc-ing the group on your reply, and thus no way for anyone in the
group to know whether or not someone has replied to the initial
contact email.
(And, of course, as a result any future correspondence will be
one-on-one with whoever replied, rather than being one-to-many.)
