It's a reflection of the fact that our systems are not as automated as they could be, but it's a fact that if you're doing operational stuff to do with branches or code imports, you sometimes need to know the branch id.

Perhaps we could just show it to bazaar-experts and admins on the branch page.

Given that most of the time we don't want to see it, I'd rather it was in a comment at the bottom the file (like the query count) if the user is allowed to see it. But yes, we should have an easy way of getting access to it. Probably as an integer and as a split path for ease of pasting.

Ideally there'd be a subpage ~foo/bar/baz/+raw-details that had more than just the ID.

Does navigating to http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~vcs-imports/guice/trunk/.bzr/x and reading the id out of the 404 page count? :-)
