Currenly Launchpad bugs consist of URL:

SUGGESTION

There is word "bugs" two times, which is redundant. Please implement redirection which can accpet a simpler[1] URL in format:

   https://bugs.launchpad.net/NNNNNN

[1] Similar short redirection syntax is also in use in the Debian project's bug tracking system. Try e.g. http://bugs.debian.org/322053
which translates into longer http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=322053

https://launchpad.net/bugs/NNNNNN already does that redirect, and is just as short as your proposal. e.g. this bug report can be reached by going to https://launchpad.net/bugs/272680.

It might be a custom to think that bugs.* address would be more logical, thus:

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/NNNNNN

FWIW this would also have the benefit that the URL would be similar to that of Debian's.
