Copying between releases in PPA doesn't work

I tried top copy the package "mb-discid" in my PPA (https://launchpad.net/~phw/+archive) from Gutsy to Hardy using the "Copy package" feature. It seemed to work, the package was queued for build and it now looks ok in the PPA package overview. However, the package is not included in the package list of the apt repository (e.g. http://ppa.launchpad.net/phw/ubuntu/dists/hardy/main/binary-i386/Packages).
