Bug Description
Product release finder was stuck for a few days and prevented other daily cronjobs to run:

It is possible it was stuck from an event where a machine hosting some relevant parts of Launchpad crashed, but then we might want to update the script to add timeouts or similar to prevent this.

Hi Loïc, thanks for reporting this bug. We have similar issues with many other cron jobs tend to get stuck holding a stale lock file when critical pieces of Launchpad infrastructure (for example, the database) are down/unavailable and will try to come up with a solution for this type of issue.
