Bug Description

It should be possible to get information about PPAs as mail subscriptions or feeds. Ideally two of each:

 - all uploads, build attempts, failures, successful builds (see bug 141177), deferred builds, etc
 - a user oriented view of the archive - just source uploads would do

This would remove the need for the current behaviour of sending mail to the owner on all changes, which is spammy when many members of the team are uninterested in packaging.

I am adding API capability to PPAs very soon (bug 276020), how will that change things for you in regard to this bug? Particularly if we add an option on whether to email the team or the uploader about their packages?

The thing I'd most like to see here is for people using RSS
aggregators to thereby be aware of new packaging activity in PPAs. So
an API by itself would not help much on this particular issue. The
priority of that could be guided by data we might have on how popular
other Launchpad feeds are.

https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+ppas has a nice list of 5 recent uploads; it would be cool/impressive to see more of them, in a web page or a feed.
