Bug Description

About four times a year the NFS server on nfs-ganesha/3 becomes unresponsive, and git push/pull services become unreachable to users.

The workaround is a quick restart of either the VM or the ganesha server process itself. If we have staff on hand who recognise this problem as such, it's quick to fix. Otherwise, it can take a while to work up the courage to restart an NFS server (given its history of being inflexible throughout the 1990s) after researching the problem.

We're happy to work to provide logs and other resources as needed.

In general we very likely don't have the in-house expertise to track this down all the way, and my attempts to reproduce this on staging have been unsuccessful (not very surprising given the low frequency). I'm working on an upgrade of our nfs-ganesha backport to the latest version from Ubuntu focal in the hope that this helps, but it is possible that we will not be able to make this significantly better.

(It's still better than all the other available options we know of.)
