timeout/oops when adding people to a certain LP team (but adding still succeeds?)

It used to sporadically timeout when adding people to the sso-2f-testers team - these days it *always* times out (but still adds the person).

The group has 1476 members ATM.

Here's a sample oops:

How to reproduce:

https://launchpad.net/~sso-2f-testers

click "add member" and add someone not already in the team.

Expected result:

- Member added and back to https://launchpad.net/~sso-2f-testers/+members#active

Actual result:

- Member added
- Oops
- Going to https://launchpad.net/~sso-2f-testers/+members#active after the fact works well.
