However, I did rifle through the other supported codenames and architectures and it seems that it also fails for all architectures, as well as trusty. bionic, aardvark, cosmic do not fail. Interestingly, it seems that anything (even unsupported releases) before yakkety fails, while everything from yakkety on does not.
