Show package updates by Ubuntu versions and/or programs

Bug Description

Scope:
I would like to have a feed of all the package updates to Dapper, Edgy, Feisty, Gutsy and Hardy. Why? Because I'm always curious as to when my programs are being upgraded and/or if they're being upgraded in the next development release (currently Hardy). I follow a lot of open source programs and I would like to know when certain versions get implement, where they get implemented and how they get implemented.

Use Case:
I have to go to http://launchpad.net/ubuntu, search for the 'pidgin' package, select 'pidgin' and then see if the package has been updated or not.

Implementation:
Allow the user to subscribe to a Ubuntu version and see when packages are being updated. If this is too intense, then allow the user to select programs and show all related packages that are updated via mail and/or the personal page in Launchpad. Example: If I selected Gaim a year ago, it would continue to follow Pidgin since that's now the superseded software.
