Continuous 502 proxy error on snap upload to store

I used to get this periodically but now it happens all the time. None of the recently build snaps are being uploaded to the store.

Launchpad failed to upload this snap package to the store:

  502 Server Error: Proxy Error

I suspect this has to do with large snaps, since (system-wide) only some uploads are failing; but our current logs are inadequate for figuring out what the problem is. I've proposed https://code.launchpad.net/~cjwatson/launchpad/snap-store-upload-error-debug/+merge/322715 in the hope that this lets us track it down a bit further.

My 0AD snap is also affected (https://code.launchpad.net/~osomon/+snap/0ad-svn). I trigger builds on a daily basis (as this snap tracks the upstream SVN repository). The resulting snaps are large indeed (~800MB), and so far I haven't gotten a successful upload, I've had to retry them multiple times.

This should be fixed now by a combination of various robustness improvements in both Launchpad and the store:

I confirm that the issue appears to be fixed, the last few builds of my 0AD snap were all successfully uploaded to the store.
