Bug Description
Debian is considering switching to control.tar.xz by default:
https:/
The Ubuntu archive doesn't support this yet. In order to do so, we need a few minor changes to Launchpad's upload checks.

Actually, the dpkg task here is nonsense, sorry. We don't use dpkg to extract .debs in the uploader, only ar and python-apt. We already have a new enough version of python-apt, so I think that it's just a matter of fixing up our explicit restrictions.
