One should be able to mark a question as "Solved" if answered after it has expired

Currently if a question expires and is then answered, one can only mark the question as "Solved" if one reopens the question first. And even if one reopens the question one is unable to say which answer solved the question. I think that this should change so that a question can go from "Expired" to "Solved" without need of reopening and one should also be able to then choose which answer did the trick.
