I discovered today that Launchpad isn't only for free software projects, and that non-free / commercial software projects can use Launchpad on a commercial basis. I think this is an important feature of Launchpad that not many users are aware of, and in fairness to them it should be made clearer in the interface and documentation in the interest of transparency.
For example, the front page of Launchpad says:

What is Launchpad?
We make it easy to collaborate across multiple projects in the free software world.
UNQUOTE
Of course, that's true. However it's probably misleading in that it doesn't mention the fact that Launchpad is not *only* for free software projects. Removing the word "free" from the above sentence is probably the easiest way to do it.

* The +about page, in the main banner and body text |
