Creating polls (date selection) should made be easier for better UX.

When creating new polls the fields when its open or close is in my opinion to complicated.
Its should be added an date selector like in an calender application or at least a button to add the date now.

It could working like this:
You can specify the start with the tag "now " and in the end field you could type something like "now+12d" (now + 12 days) or so.
