From bug 147186.
The multiple template export provides translations for templates which have been hidden or renamed in Launchpad.
For example, from the gutsy/+source/ubuntu-docs translations, I'm getting:
gnome/aboutubuntu
ubuntu/about-ubuntu and
ubuntu/aboutubuntu
Most of the translations appear to be in the last one, although the pot file is in the second one. Ideally I would be getting all the translations in a single directory: ubuntu/about-ubuntu; which is the one that appears here: https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/gutsy/+source/ubuntu-docs/
This may be because of the way ubuntu-docs has been hacked around in Rosetta a bit to handle renaming of templates over different releases.
If possible, please let me know whether I can simply copy all of the translations in the three directories in the above example into a single directory, and use them with the single pot file. |
From bug 147186.
Exporting translations from Launchpad results in wrong paths on some files: we store the POFile.path on import, and generate it when new PO file is created through LP, and then use that blindly when exporting PO files. That is most often wrong and we should just put all PO files under language codes in the same directory as POT files.
