Bug Description
This popped up recently. Packages that are published to a PPA and not made available in any primary archive currently have no way of forcing LP to generate translations for them.
Normally it was not a problem, but with Ubuntu Touch stable development switching to the stable-overlay PPA, suddenly we noticed that we could not have any translation updates as all the po files were generated from the vivid archive instead. So all the new strings that appeared for overlay package versions and in project trunks were not updated in the generated language-packs.
