translations.launchpad.net doesn't show activity while projects.davidplanella.org does

What you see:
1. A list of templates, with overall statistics hidden at the bottom of the page, and no hint of activity.
2. A beautiful activity graph, and prominent statistics showing number of apps+strings left to translate.

This is an example of a representation of Launchpad data that has been implemented outside of Launchpad, but would be more effective and resilient if it was implemented in Launchpad itself.

It would be more effective, because many more people would see it in the first place. All they would have to do is follow the "Translations" link from one of Launchpad's Ubuntu pages.

And it would be more resilient, because it would not depend on the projects.davidplanella.org domain continuing to exist, the server being kept running, and the app being kept up to date with changes in Launchpad. Past examples of failures to do this include <http://people.ubuntu-in.org/~carthik/bugstats/> (domain no longer exists), <http://ubuntustats.com/> (server no longer running), and <http://people.canonical.com/~brian/graphs/> (app broken).
