Still an issue.

Neither the wily (https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/wily/+language-packs) nor the 15.04 (https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-rtm/15.04/+language-packs) langpack exports have any libusermetrics. Launchpad also does not have anything translatable in https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libusermetrics and there is nothing stuck in the import queue: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/vivid/+source/libusermetrics/+imports

The upstream project has some translations on https://translations.launchpad.net/libusermetrics.

According to the build log the package build does build some translations, but it seems they aren't getting imported into LP?

affects: langpack-o-matic → launchpad
summary: - libusermetrics.mo missing from langpacks
+ libusermetrics translations not imported into LP, and missing from
+ langpack exports

AFAIK the interesting usermetrics strings come from applications. I believe the issue with "wrong language" problems is that the translation is fetched only once, and the translated message is cached until there's a new event (for example new photo taken) when a new string is fetched as translated to be shown.

Martin Pitt (pitti) wrote :

Ah, while vivid's import queue did not have anything (apparently libusermetrics didn't have any strings?) both wily's and 15.04's queue did have the POT which needed to be approved. I did that now.

  https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/wily/+source/libusermetrics/+imports

So LP should import them now, and then the next langpack refresh should have them.

Note, we are now waiting for a new export on https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-rtm/15.04/+language-packs which should happen on Sept 8. If this is more urgent, please ask William Grant to run an export manually.

Martin Pitt (pitti) wrote :

Today's export just arrived: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/216651064/ubuntu-rtm-15.04-translations.tar.gz it has libusermetrics. I'll build fresh 15.04 packages now.

New set of langpacks 1:15.04+20150908 uploaded to overlay PPA now. The next image rebuild should thus pick this up.
