Versioned package pages should display/link to entire changelog

Bug Description

A page like https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfix-policyd/1.80-2.2 should link to the full changelog.

I know that I can go there, by going to a specific target (e.g. gutsy), but changes by a selected version should be around more prominent.

The changelog for this version in Gutsy would be: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/gutsy/+source/postfix-policyd/+changelog

Is there a different changelog for a given version in different targets? I mean, does postfix-policyd 1.80-2.2 (or other packages) have a different changelog to the same version in e.g. feisty?

The page you mentioned, does show the changes in this release on that page, but having a link to "View changelog" would be nice. I would like to go ahead and work on implementing this but what do others say here.

summary: - Versioned package pages should display/link to changelog
+ Versioned package pages should display/link to entire changelog

Vikram, adding that link would be great. This bug was filed before the great 3.0 UI change last year, which is why it has the change log snippet there now.

I would suggest adding it at the top right of the existing change log snippet (similar to the "See full publishing history" in the Publishing portlet) with link text like "See full change log". It should link to something like https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfix-policyd/+changelog

Thanks!

Vikram seems to have gone away, unassigning. Also dropping to low - this is relatively minor polish. Should someone else wish to do this we'd be delighted to help them achieve it.

Changed in launchpad:
