In sortable lists the user's selection isn't persistent

Some tables in launchpad are sortable - when you click on a column header the table is sorted by the values in that column. Unfortunately, the selection isn't persistent, so when you refresh the page the table goes back to the default sorting. It would be nice if Launchpad kept the user's selection, on a table-by-table basis, in a cookie and use the same sorting key when the user refreshes the page (this can be determined by the referrer header of the request).
