special syntax for bug reports and comments on bugs?

I'm terribly sorry if it's a stupid question - i'm a newbie on Launchpad.

Is there some special syntax (like in PHPBB or Wikis) for comments on bugs, and is there a reference for this syntax?

I was writing comments on bugs and i couldn't find an easy way to link to other bugs from the comment text. I tried clicking the help button at the top, but it said "Sorry, help isn’t available for this page." I tried looking at the FAQ, but couldn't find an answer there.

I also saw that some discussions include quotes hidden with [...] links, but couldn't find a way to make such a quote myself.

I apologize again if it's a silly question.

There isn't really any syntax. URLs are automatically turned into links. The only syntax that I can think of is that you can just put bug #<bug number> and it will automatically create a link. For example bug #1 .

OK, links make sense and I figured out Bug #<number> by a total coincidence - which is not that good.

But what about the [...] quotes?

These little bits of "syntax" could be put in the "help" on the top of the page instead of "Sorry, help isn’t available for this page."

It's bad that there's no special syntax for preformatted text. Sometimes, when you paste logs, they got badly misformatted.
