Bug Description
If you want to register a release for your project in Launchpad, you first need to register a series, or do it from inside the pre-created "trunk" series. This is not obvious.
One way of fixing this would be to have a "Register a release" link on the project page itself, taking you to a form with an extra "Series:" menu defaulting to trunk. (This would be analogous to how the distribution bug-reporting page asks you to specify a package, while the package bug-reporting page does not.)
