Bug Description
As you can see in
https:/
especially
https:/
launchpad has imported a commnet from upstream bugtracker freedesktop.org
The upstream developer has ask to test a patch that can be found at
https:/
on a bug on their bugtracker with the number 59001.
Exactly he has written
This obfuscates launchpad.
It recognized this formulation as link to a report on launchpad and do not recognize that was intended a ticket on the upstream bugtracker.
This should be prevented.
The simplest solution would be to switch of the keyword "bug" for imported comment from upstream trackers.
The more advanced solution would be that launchpad also do not react with a link on "bug" in imported upstream comment. Instead it give a footer in addition on such comments that the users should go to the upstream report(more clear to them) and give the link again in the footer.
The third solution strategy would be that launchpad link in such comments directly to the correct report in the upstream tracker. This would be the best solution in my opinion.
