Bug Description
Someone files a bug on Launchpad Bazaar saying there's no way to choose to hide your email address in commit messages. (Bug A)
Then, someone else files a bug on Launchpad and Malone saying there's no way to choose to completely hide your email address. (Bug B)
So, Bug A is essentially a bugtask for Bug B. It's an instance of the same defect, but on a particular code base. There should be a way to somehow move Bug A into a bugtask of Bug B, I think.
What I did in this case is mark Bug A as a duplicate of Bug B, then manually add a bugtask to Bug B that referred to Bug A.
The actual bugs are bug 107973 and bug 111147.

What you did is essentially what should be done. At one point we were talking about automatically opening extra bug tasks on the target bug when marking bugs as duplicate, but that hasn't been done.
