Bug Description
Hi to all,
I am not sure if this is the right place or the appropriate way to report a "usability bug and feature request" but I would like to propose some ideas for making launchpad awesome.
I've been using launchpad for 5 years now and I am a bit concerned about the minimum impact that has made the project so far in public news related to other VCS. For almost a year or so I have been working with git on Github and Bitbucket and I would love to see some of the little things that makes difference, also available in Laounchpad.
The first time you create an account on Github and Bitbucket you will be greeted by a wizard that will help you in almost 4 steps to create a repository, connect your local folder to your online project and start commuting - pushing your project.
Unfortunately launchpad lacks this kind of wizard because, maybe there was no usability investigation on how to make it more user friendly.
But launchpad has one thing that Github and Bitbucket doesn't, an official app like Bazaar Explorer !. Yes there are tons of git clients, and yes ther is Git for Mac but nothing that is widely accepted as an official app. So an integration of repository/project creation through Bazaar Explorer would be awesome.
Last but not least, Launchpad should consider making its self more social (like Github)
To sum up:
-- Wizard for creating a repository
-- Wizard for connecting/creating repo in Bazaar Explorer
-- Social features in launchpad
Thanks for your time.
