BugTask:+editstatus timeouts on bugs with many tasks

Bug Description

Since we now have a new kernel backport, we have added a new task to kernel bugs. We are now unable to set the status on this new task without hitting a timeout.

For example, trying to switch "Maverick" to "Invalid" on the "linux-lts-quantal" task in bug 706999 results in OOPS-91d11c991cbabec55e1af4d24a337656

This is breaking the kernel security update workflow, and we are unable to coordinate kernel releases at this time.

I think you can delete the series tasks to clean up the bug. It will make the page load faster and permit task edits to complete.

Ah, thanks for the suggestion, I'll give that a try.

That workaround is not an option to edit status on a bug like bug 1179008.
Looks like using the Email interface works as a workaround...

The most crazy aspect of this bug is that it affects the API as well.
