Bug Description
It would be great if you could query Launchpad users using IRC nicks through the Launchpad API. Currently you can query for users with usernames (and other fields) then you can get the rest of that user's information including IRC nicks. Going the other directions and using an IRC nick as the query key to get a user's information does not currently appear to be possible. This is a useful feature because it would allow you to do things like creating Launchpad bugs and assigning them to users based on IRC channel communication.
