Karma=0 after account merge and "member since" is the date from the new account

Hi,

my account was https://launchpad.net/~thomasbechtold and i had a karma >2000. Then i merged my account with https://launchpad.net/~toabctl (because it's not possible to rename a account id when a user have a ppa) and now my karma is 0. What happened? I want to have my karma points back!;)

also the "member since" is the date from the new account (for me, it's now 2010-02-03 but it was 2005-xx-xx). That's wrong because i'm a member since 2005.

I think you merged the wrong way. Karma is not transfered in a merge because it promotes users selling profiles.

@Curtis Hovey: i wanted to have a new launchpad-ID (my old was ~thomasbechtold). But i had a PPA so it was not possible to change the LP-ID. Then i added a Question to soyuz (see https://answers.launchpad.net/soyuz/+question/99673 ) where Michael Nelson told me that there's a faq with a workaround for the problem (https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/soyuz/+faq/569). Then followed the instructions and now i'm a member since today and have karma=0.

I think that is a bad situation because eg i'm a ubuntu member and if other people watch my profile, they can not understand why i'm a member (because "member since" in LP profile is today, so i'm totally new and karma=0).

The "member since" is also wrong because i'm a member since 2005 (my old account). And when i merge 2 accounts, i want to have the lowest date (because that's the reality).

 * Is it possible to set the member-since date back to the old date?
 * Is it possible to recalculate the karma again?

and it would be cool if somebody change the faq https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/soyuz/+faq/569 and tell the people that they'll lose the karma and the "member since" date.

I got my Karma back! Cool. I don't know why. Maybe there's a cronjob which calculates the karma once a day?

But i still have the wrong "Member since" Date. Can somebody help?
