add 'unsubscribe' command to remove users from mailing lists

Bug Description

It would be great if launchpad would parse e-mail subjects and bodies to see if the user tries to issue a "unsubscribe" command as supported by other mailing list software. Users should be removed from the distribution list, if the subject line contains the string "unsubscribe" or if the first non-empty line in the body equals "unsubscribe"

This would greatly reduce the noise on many of the popular bug reports.

Here is an example for one of the mail that create the noise:

There are many, many more and some quite rude complaints from folks that think that the unsubscribe e-mails are annoying.

Hi Barry, is this doable?

To have prevented that example, the command would need to detect misspellings of "unsubscribe" too. :-)

Barry, Diogo,

Sorry, but I clicked the wrong button and re-added this to "Launchpad Itself". I apologize for that. Can you please remove it again and just keep it with "Lauchpad Registry"?

Best regards,

Joachim

Hi,

It would be nice to not put you in the "subscribe" list by default.

Okay, sorry for that (I did not know). But why *am* I actually able to do this? And does this rule apply for any other bugs, too?

Launchpad does not use wishlist...it is not an importance. This is a feature request, and if blueprints did not suck, we would convert this bug report into a blueprint.
