Bug Description

The link where the stock replies for the bugs are obsolete according to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Responses. I really doen't know if there is a xml version of this page for an automatic update but http://people.canonical.com/~brian/greasemonkey/bugsquad-replies.xml needs to be updated or look for another method.

Which responses need to be updated? The xml file is synced from lp:ubuntu-qa-tools and needs to be updated by hand. And wich link do you mean?

Just by a brief look, the Invalid Papercut template in the XML file refers to 9.10 as the latest release. I'm just a curious bystander, though. Shouldn't there be a single authoritative source for both the wiki page and this XML file? I notice the wiki is sprinkled with different versions of the template texts, too.

@Philip: Almost all of them, the wiki have greatly better responses than the xml file, also have some explanations, the only thing that the wiki lacks is the status camp, but it wouldn't be painfull to add. BTW the first line reads "When you update one of these responses, you should also update the response used by the Firefox extension. These responses can be found in the bazaar branch lp:ubuntu-qa-tools in the file gm-xml-files/bugsquad-replies.xml.", but nobody cares about it. I can't upload to the branch cause I don't have rights to do so.

The advantage of the xml file is that firefox-lp-improvements (a firefox extension) reads the xml file and presents clickable links to modify the bug report. So one can click on "Collect it" and have the bug set to Incomplete, comment on the bug with the standard response and be subscribed to the bug report.

While you may not have rights to upload a branch with a modified version of the bugsquad-replies.xml file you could propose a merge of a branch with your changes and I'd be happy to review. Shoot, I'd even download a patch, review it and apply it to the branch.

Ok, I done the last. Also, I'll see if I can update the wiki to add the status recommendation to each response.
