dpkg 1.22.6ubuntu11 enables the ELF package metadata spec for all builds (see https://code.launchpad.net/~bluca/ubuntu/+source/dpkg/+git/dpkg/+merge/465957). Setting DPKG_BUILDPACKAGE_DEBUGINFOD_URLS during package build will encode the debuginfod URL in the ELF package metadata.
Please set this variable for all builds that end up in the official Ubuntu archive:
