Bug Description

I use openSUSE 13.1 with KDE 4.11 (dark theme). Java's OpenDialog is really ugly and awkward. For example, I should again and again navigate to my directory starting from home directory (in most OS/desktop environment dialogs you can pin some dirs or request latest one). I think this question is related: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2617762/alternative-to-jfilechooser-on-linux

Hi,
Indeed, many dialogue boxes are really awful on Linux because of Swing.
That will be fixed when Latexdraw will move from Swing to JavaFX.
JavaFX provides better dialogue boxes, see:
http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/ui_controls/file-chooser.htm

Changed in latexdraw:
status: New → Triaged
importance: Undecided → Low
assignee: nobody → arno_b (arno.b)
