Bug Description

Hardware: Asus 1015PX netbook (Ubuntu certified)
OS: Ubuntu 11.10
+++++++++
some of the settings specified in laptop-mode.conf do not appear to be present in /usr/sbin/laptop_mode.
this is what happened:
i set SATA power management to 1 (on) in the conf file, but every time i ran powertop, i found the SATA power management to be off, with a "bad" label next to it.

i checked /usr/sbin/laptop_mode and foud that SATA power management was set to 0.

so i checked all the other settings, and i found out that many more values were not properly set, mainly those related to the disk management.

just a thought:
could it be that by editing /usr/sbin/laptop_mode i just forced new defaults? i noticed that this file holds values that match the default ones found in /etc/laptop-mode/laptop-mode.conf.

my hard drive now spins down properly and i noticed that the overall power consumption is slightly lower.

i'll keep you posted!
