Bug Description

Ethernet Network get disabled after resume from suspend.
Ethernet Network get disabled after plug out then replug in cable.
Even on AC or battery
Even cat /proc/sys/vm/laptop_mode is 0
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 with kernel 3.1.0 and laptop-mode-tools 1.60-1
e1000e 0000:00:19.0: eth0: (PCI Express:2.5GT/s:Width x1)
e1000e 0000:00:19.0: eth0: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection

remove pm-utils is not work.
the "CONTROL_ETHERNET=0" doesn't fix the bug.

Disabling runtime-pm in conf.d will solve the (e1000e) problem.

This must be device specific. I have ethernet power savings enabled,
runtime pm enabled and I don't see this issue. And my device uses the
same e1000e driver.

runtime-pm is used to save power over PCI. This definitely would be a
kernel bug.
