Bug Description
I am trying to set nds (Low German) as default and de (German) as a fallback instead of en (English). Now I think that it might not work, because there isnt an accurate entry for Low German in the languagelist in /usr/share/
So I would recommend to add one like the following:
Low German;
meaning that everywhere should be used nds:nds_DE.UTF-8 by default and that the first fallback should be: de:de_DE.UTF-8 and en:en_GB should be the second fallback.
For the benefit of comfort and corporation it would make sense to combine nds and de, because its kind of a variant of German instead of English. English as a second fallback would be just to make sure, that any string can be shown.

Since Ubuntu Karmic it isnt possible to mark Low German for use in the dropdown menu after installation. Maybe this is related to the languagelist problem? That can be found here: https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu- translations/ +bug/530748
Maybe just give it a try - does that work on your system?
