when erroring, landscape-api displays a web page

Bug Description
Hi,
I ran a few big searches through landscape-api, and they ended up timing out, but instead of getting a simple "timeout" error message, I'm getting the error page configured in the haproxy that's fronting the landscape-servers. I believe I this should be fixed.
This is using landscape-api 17.03-0ubuntu1 (zesty).
For example :
% landscape-api get-packages --names landscape-client --upgrade true access-group:global
Got unexpected server error:
Status: 504
Error message: <!DOCTYPE html>
