Bug Description

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

L2TP/IPSec connected and works, but after 20-120 seconds (sometimes more, up to 5 minutes) it disconnects with:

Jan 8 16:26:16 3530EA L2tpIPsecVpnControlDaemon: Opening client connection
Jan 8 16:26:16 3530EA L2tpIPsecVpnControlDaemon: Executing command service xl2tpd stop
Jan 8 16:26:16 3530EA xl2tpd[17245]: death_handler: Fatal signal 15 received

I've tried with different L2TP servers: Softether and xl2tpd and 2 Ubuntu clients.
Thank you!

I'm facing the same issue on Ubuntu 14.04.1: l2tp client is auto-closing the connection by itself. Here are the package details:

l2tp-ipsec-vpn - v1.0.9-1
l2tp-ipsec-vpn-daemon - v0.9.9-1
xl2tpd - v1.3.6+dfsg-1

I'm on Kernel - 3.13.0-44-generic x86_64
