Bug Description

After typing some words and the app showed up, I should be able to just click the app to bring it up. Having to press enter is a bit counterintuitive. The current click action is to drag the window, which could be done just by dragging the title bar.

Needs design thought! Drag & Drop is definitely missing since a long time and maybe we should add double-clicking too. Double-clicking is active in the result list.

Changed in kupfer:

Click once or twice? I have implemented double-click on the icons to launch the current Object + Action combination. Is that good enough?

Thank you for implementing it! Double-click is good, but what do you have in mind for single-click? I personally favor single-click over double-click, but if you have a good usage for it, then by all means.

Can single-click be combined with drag&drop? I've always wanted drag& drop support (for files) but it hasn't been implemented yet. I'm used to things being selected when single-clicked so we could focus the clicked pane and maybe even open the result list with alternatives for that pane. That would extend it so that it's almost possible to use without typing (not an intended use case so far).

drag & drop is great, looking forward to it, but isn't the drop action itself is enough to determine the panel the user intended (which panel she dropped the file). As for the alternatives menu, how about clicking the mouse without releasing it (and move the mouse downward) to bring the menu up?

I know maybe click to focus is more convention conforming, but IMHO, the purpose of this app is to launch other apps as quickly as possible, so breaking the habit a little to serve the purpose should be worth it.
