Kupfer diplaced after dual monitor setup

Settings:
Ubuntu 12.04
Fluxbox
Kupfer (standard version 206 for Ubuntu 12.04)
gdm desktop manager

Reproduction:
use xrandr to set up two monitors
call Kupfer with Ctrl+Space

Symptom:
Kupfer will appear at the top, left cornern and can not be moved
the dropdown menu might appear on a different location
after setting back the system to one monitor, the symptoms persist

Further Tests:
restarting kupfer does not fix the problem
logging out and in solves the problem

On U12.10 + Unity seems to work ok....

There is some problem when setting colormap via gtk.window.set_colormap.
Attached patch is workaround for this problem, but not solve it.
