As the underlying system is not impeccable it is welcome to have Kubuntu users informed e.g. to switch in case of AMD-closed-source-Drivers (fglrx) to open-source driver _before_ the Upgrade – otherwise they run into a black-screen. This is "warmly recommended" as said in the Ubunut-RN.
