In KDE 4.7.3 battery monitor ignores "showRemainingTime=true"

I'm running Oneiric (Kubuntu, x86_64) on a Lenovo Thinkpad T400 laptop. In KDE 4.7.3 installed from kubuntu-ppa the extrapolated remaining battery time is not shown in Battery Monitor, although

showRemainingTime=true

is set in ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc. Downgrading to KDE 4.7.2 from the official oneiric repos fixes the problem. On 19 Nov. the folks at Fedora seem to have fixed something in their KDE 4.7.3 package that sounds like it might be related to this regression:

However, I cannot really test if this is the same (upstream?) bug, as I have no Fedora install at hand ...

Update: The problem no longer exists in KDE 4.7.4 installed from kubuntu-ppa. Many thanks to whoever fixed this!
