Bug Description

I upgraded today to kdepim-runtime_4.7.2+git111007-0ubuntu1~natty1~ppa1_i386
and now all emails in KMail inbox are read only and no new emails are retrieved.

Serious folks.
I restarted computer, restarted Akonadi, deleted IMAP resource, recreated it, still the same.

No error output in Akonadi Console and also no new emails shown in Akonadi Console, as if it would not retrieve anything whatsoever.
Yes, I have new emails sitting in IMAP, checked via webmail.
Access rights in inbox Akonadi collection is "none", should be "read, write, delete". and "read, write" for collection.

Ok, I tried to reproduce this with my IMAP account in a natty VM a bit. I can fetch, read and remove emails fine, but thanks to the famous "missing resource collection" error I couldn't send something or check the settings so I need to fix that first before trying to reproduce this.

What you could do would be to enable kmail debug output in kdebugdialog and then check ~/.xsession-errors for anything useful when you hit the issue.

Well, I don't think it's a kmail problem, because there is also nothing in Akonadi Console. The imap agent is simply returning nothing. Could well be because the collection is not even writable or readable....

There is no "kmail" in kdebugdialog. However, I have enabled all other "*mail*" processes: akonadiresource (maildir), akonadiagent (mailthreader), akonadiserializer (mail), kdepimlibs (mailtransport), and kio (KEMailSettings).
Plus akonadi.

However, the log is EMPTY. No point attaching anything.

Output of Akonadi Console when "synchronising" the inbox folder is attached.
But none of my 15 emails there....

Please note that this only applies to "inbox", all other subfolders like archives, sent, trash etc synchronise fine and show the emails as they should.

However, ~/.xsession-errors is still empty.

And my Kubuntu 11.10 machine still works fine. Not this one (Kubuntu 11.04)

Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Ingo

Theres now some stuff in the ~/.xsession-errors file.
Not that I can find anything useful in there, but I'll submit it to you nonetheless.
