Bug Description

Using kubuntu 10.10, phonon-backend-xine, phonon-backend-vlc and KDE 4.6 beta 2. After upgrading from 4.5.4, whenever I got a notification sound, it sounds twice. Switching between phonon backends doesn't solve the problem.

I have the same problem here (openSUSE 11.3 - K:D:F packages). It seems to be somehow related to Pulse Audio as I didn't have the problem when I was running pure ALSA.
Maybe the problem has something to do with my bluetooth headset? When I activate the headset, the sounds are only played once...

I have reported the bug upstreams: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262800
