Plasma notifications broken

After crash of plasma desktop all notification popups are being displayed in upper left corner of the desktop. They should be displayed at cursors position. The same thing happens to displays from plasma widgets and tray icons. It is shown in attached screenshots. The other thing is that the window thumbnails are broken when switching between the window or showing on plasma dashboard. I tried to delete plasma* config files from ~/.kde/share/config and it worked despite I had to rearrange all panels and widgets again. But after plasma suddenly crashed and everything is broken again... How can it be fixed? Seems like a bug with plasma desktop. I will try to post crash report when it occurs.

Same problem here, all panel widgets popups at wrong place.

With a bottom panel, all popup widgets appear at the bottom left. 2/3 are outside of the screen, so they are unusable. With a top panel, popups appears at wrong place too, but I can still use it.

A Kubuntu reinstalling and a new upgrade to KDE 4.5.0 has fixed the problem for me. Seems to be only a misconfiguration.

Reinstalling whole system is not an option to solve this if this is a misconfiguration of something. It happened on other PC as well. I hope it could be fixed more "civilized" way.

Mhh ... 10 days it works. Now even with a new installation, this error occurs again. Really frustrating :-(

A short-term change of the resolution solves the problem for me! :-)

Haven't seen this problem since 4.6.x (upgrade history all the way from kubuntu 10.04 to 11.10 now)

Also never seen on a clean install of kubuntu 11.10
