KSnapshot snapshot counter increases on save

Take a snapshot using PrintScreen. KSnapshot save dialog opens. Press "save as" and save current snapshot. "Save as" file manager disappears, showing another KSnapshot save dialog with same snapshot, but with increased counter.

Looks like counter increases on "Save as" button press.

Expected: after saving confirmation close all KSnapshot dialogs.

Bug appears on Kubuntu 15.10 with all latest updates.

Thanks for reporting this feature request! Unfortunately, at this time Kubuntu does not have the developer manpower needed to implement and maintain many features at the Kubuntu level. This wish would best be reported and tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that it can be implemented by the KDE developers themselves. Once implemented in KDE, it will be included in Kubuntu once the KDE version the feature is implemented in reaches Kubuntu.

Ahhh, forgot to mention why this is set to status eq "incomplete". When this reported upstream you can leave a link here as cross-reference. So anybody else feeling affected too by this can follow-up.

The snapshot can be saved by clicking on the Save As... (Ctrl+S) button. This opens the standard KDE save dialog, where you can choose the filename, the folder location, and the format that your snapshot will be saved in. _If multiple snapshots are taken_, the filename is _automatically incremented_ to prevent you from overwriting previous snapshots. You may however edit the filename to anything you wish, including the name of a previously saved snapshot.
