There is an even stronger need for fresher Qt being packaged, as for now Kubuntu is simply UNUSABLE e.g. on multi-monitor setups (notorious crashes during connections/disconnections etc.). This has already been fixed upstream so it'd be really nice to see Kubuntu back on its legs by now.

I am working on KDE4.14.3. This is/will be a painful slow process as recent infrastructure changes break our scripts for trusty. I have to package 200+ applications by hand.

@Kornel QT is not packaged by Kubuntu, you will need to file another ticket for Ubuntu Core.

Thanks,
Scarlett

FYI:
Qt-backport request was done nearly 1(!) year ago -> bug #1355694.

@Kornel: be warned – the mentioned PPA (contains Qt 4.8 already) did _not_ work for me. Had to purge it from command-line with ppa-purge in the virtual-terminal.

For my understanding this has, as many things in life, two sides. Simultaniously to the issuing 4.13.3 a new branch of KDE-SC was split in KDE Framework/KDEApplications (KF5.x/4.14.x) & released.

See the stady flow here: https://community.kde.org/KDE_SC/Binary_Packages

This actually meant a lot of additional work (triple load?) for our (if I may say so) Kubuntu-Team. They had to split up their energy which is harsh job taking into account a low number of developers. I personally am _very_ grateful for all the work that's done by the volunteers.

On the other side the update was already announced:

http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-sc-4.13.3 (dated 12.2.2014)

won't find it here: https://community.kde.org/KDE_SC/Binary_Packages#KDE_SC_4.13.3

@Scarlett: Thanks for assigning on this task.
Even though I'm getting a glimpse of understanding of all the work that's done quietly I do understand that most of us users would love to see the bugfixes arrive in an LTS. But it's also marvellous to see how fast KF5 evolves.

Sending a BIG ThankYou! -> the Kubuntu-Team & lots of hugs on the last Friday July/2015 - it's "The Admins Appreciation Day"

Hi there,

since Wily 15.10 has been released recently – could we have an estimation about progress expectations here?

best regards

Yes, I will get back to tackling the rest of these next week. (on the road this weekend) So sorry for the delay, there is only one of me working on these.
Next LTS will not be so hard to keep up with. Changing workflows really hit hard with trusty. Again my sincerest apologies.

Thank you very much :) May I ask you whether the bug in google calendar integration (tasks do not synchronize: korganizer->google web) has been resolved in latest bugfix release (or may be in KDE5)?

Btw is there a packaging problem we can help you with? :)

I updated community.kde.org but I do not have access to kubuntu.org website.
