libkdecore5:i386 removes all 64 bits KDE installation

I need to have libkio.so.4, for 32 bits, due some internal application that uses a mix of java applet and local application.

I tried to install minimal packages for that as follow:

So it is suggesting to remove the full KDE applications in order to install a few i386 libraries. I guess some dependency isn't correct during package build process, that's why it happens.

There have been many changes in Kubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Kubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 1406529

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Thanks for the contact but indeed it is too late. I don't have an Ubuntu
14.04 installation anymore to follow up the bug.
