Google chrome do not have hardware acceleration under Plasma 5

Bug Description

After I tried Plasma 5, and installed google chrome. The hardware acceleration is not supported any more, which is working at Gnome and Unity. The chrome://gpu says "GpuProcessHostUIShim: The GPU process crashed!"

It seems to be working on Chrome Unstable.

Yes, you are right. SO it is not a Kubuntu bug, but a chrome bug.

I am running plasma 5 on System 76 laptop with an nvidia 560M graphics card using the proprietary driver and it does work for me. Here is what chrome://gpu reports

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Kubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Kubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Kubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 1392533

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
